Haverhill businesses are being encouraged to put in bids for the job of providing the town’s Christmas lights for the coming years.
Haverhill Town Council is inviting companies interested in providing the Christmas lights for the next five years to put in bids to carry out the work.
Colin Poole, Haverhill’s town clerk said: “We are inviting the big national companies to quote, but none are remotely local to Haverhill. We don’t want to exclude new companies locally that might be wanting to enter the market.”
Mr Poole warned that any company hoping to take on the contract should be prepared for a lot of hard work.
“It isn’t a small job,” said Mr Poole. “So demonstrating an ability to cope is going to be key.”
The contract to carry out the work is worth up to £28,000 a year. Companies wanting a tender pack should contact the town clerk in the first instance at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Haverhill Town Council on 01440 712858.
