Haverhill pre-school celebrate VE Day with a sponsored toddle for care homes

Children and staff at a Haverhill pre-school completed a sponsored toddle on Friday to raise money for three care homes.

The team from Castle Fields Pre-School, in School Lane chose to toddle around their garden or local area wearing red, white and blue to celebrate VE Day.

So far they have raised £550 which will be split between Cleves Place and The Meadows, both in Haverhill, and Eastcotts Care Home in Calford Green.

Kellie Taylor, from Castle Fields Pre-School, said: “The support we have received has been amazing and we can’t thank people enough.

“It is great that our staff and children can give a little back to our community.”

The Just Giving page set up for the event is open until Friday, May 15, to allow anyone else to make a donation should they wish to do so.
