An up and coming actress is returning to Haverhill to give youngsters a professional insight into her work.

Lauren Chinery, who grew up in Great Yeldham and as a child starred in many Centre Stage Company productions, is coming back to Haverhill (location confirmed on booking) on Tuesday, August 7, to run a musical theatre workshop from 2pm to 5pm.

The workshop is suitable for eight to 16-year-olds and will explore singing, dancing, acting, improvisation and technique.

Lauren graduated in July 2016 from the Performance Preparation Academy (PPA) in Guildford and has a number of shows on her CV, including playing the lead in Miss Nightingale at the Hippodrome in London’s Leicester Square earlier this year, and a part in Dreamboats and Petticoats, which toured the UK in 2017.

She will be holding the workshop with Gracie Johnson, who also performed in Dreamboats and Petticoats.

Lauren said: “I know there are some schools and things that go on for a few days. I’m sure Cambridge and Bury have them and I’m sure Sudbury has one, but I don’t think there’s one quite like this in Haverhill.”
