The fascinating world of science has beenopened up to visitors to Barclays Bank in Haverhill this week, where the Cambridge Science Centre’s outreach team has been in situ for the duration of the school half-term.

The centre’s outreach workers Jon London and Andy Barrett introduced visitors to a number of hands-on experiments and exhibits, with one of the participants being Haverhill’s mayor, Cllr Betty McLatchy.

Among the equipment on show was a vertical wind tunnel, in which children could test out spinners they had made to see how aerodynamic they were, a mock set of traffic lights and an infrared video camera.
