Haverhill’s St Mary’s church welcomed 37 children to its Holiday Club on July 29.

The event had a pirate theme and children learned stories of Jesus around a sea theme, sang action songs, played parachute games and cannon ball bowling, and made various crafts including turning two of the church pews into a large ship which was duly painted and sailed. The group was visited by the Mayor of Haverhill Cllr Betty Mclatchy.
