A support group for those who suffer from Lymphoedema has raised funds for crucial equipment with a Mardi Gras event.
The Lymphoedema Support Group raised £141 from it Mardi Gras afternoon tea at Moreton Hall Community Centre, with more than 40 people attending.
“It was a really good day,” said Gwen Williams from the group.
“The sun shone and that helped with the Mardi Gras spirit. People dressed up and the stalls did very well.”
The event was put on to coincide with Lymphoedema Awareness Week and included exhibitors from Macmillan Cancer Support and Talk Lipoedema.
Lymphoedema is a long-term condition, which predominately affects woman, and involves an abnormal build up of fat cells.
