Swimmers are being encouraged to take the plunge in a national charity swimathon at Haverhill Leisure Centre next month.
The event in aid of Sport Relief is on Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20 with swimmers being able to take on one of the individual 1.5k, 2.5k or 5k challenges.
Alternatively, they have the chance to join forces with colleagues, friends or family members for the team 1.5k or 5k.
The swimathon is at 11am and 2pm each day and will start with a warm up for participants.
Centre manager Nigel Snape said: “Whether you’re a serious swimmer looking to take on a challenging distance or an ex-swimmer who is looking to rekindle your former love of the sport, there is a Swimathon challenge for you.
“We are delighted to be holding Swimathon 2016 here at Haverhill and it’s all for a great cause.”
Swimathon launched in 1986 and in that time more than half a million swimmers have taken part and raised more than £40 million for charitable causes. Sport Relief is held every other year to help those in need.
