Teen arrested for Haverhill burglary

A 17-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a burglary at a house in Haverhill.

The break-in took place in the early hours on Sunday, May 6 at a property in Old Rope Walk.

At some point, a door window was smashed and a purse containing cards and an amount of cash was stolen.

The boy was arrested yesterday, (Wednesday, May 16), in connection with the burglary and was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

He was subsequently charged with burglary and theft and remanded in custody.

The boy is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday May 17.
