Police are linking two thefts from cars and the theft of 1,000 litres of domestic heating oil that all took place in Great Thurlow overnight between February 27 and 28.

A Toyota car in The Street was broken into and a Tom Tom satnav worth £30 removed. A hands free satnav kit and an iPod, valued at £40, were then taken from a Skoda in the village.

The heating oil, worth £390, was then removed from a tank at the rear of a house in the village.
