Haverhill travel agency reopens its shop after weeks of lockdown closure
Staff are now back at the Haverhill branch of travel company Premier Travel, with appointments available.
Director Paul Waters said staff at the Jubilee Walk branch, like all of its shops, have been working from home supporting their customers throughout the lockdown and were contacted a month ago to gauge opinion on a return to the workplace, with an external risk assessment carried out.
He said: “Each shop has its own challenges due to their varying sizes and layouts and our main priority at this stage is the safety of our staff and customers.
"We are initially offering an appointment only service and we are working towards fully opening our doors to customers whilst continuing to follow the latest safety and social distancing guidance from the government.
“Since returning we have seen an increase in new and existing customers enquiring about their future holiday plans and in particular for winter 20/21 and summer 2021.
"Since Covid-19, customers are looking for security when booking, and reassurance that their holiday is in safe hands with a company they can trust.
"We only sell 100% financial protected holidays to give our customers peace of mind in the knowledge that they will be supported throughout.”
