A 21-year-old man has been charged after a takeaway delivery driver was robbed in Haverhill.
The incident was at about 7.20pm on Wednesday, June 29 in Shepherds Court.
The victim – a woman aged in her 40s – was delivering food to an address in Shepherds Court, when she was assaulted and then had a shoulder bag containing cash and bank cards stolen.
She was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital having suffered head injuries, but is in a stable condition.
Hari Farlie, of Montfort Court, Haverhill, was arrested in connection with this incident and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has subsequently been charged with robbery.
Farlie was also charged with three further offences.
They are one count of assault causing actual bodily harm and one count of assault by beating following an incident in Fornham Road, Bury St Edmunds on Saturday, February 20.
He is also accused of one count of assault causing actual bodily harm following an incident in Feltham, west London, on Friday, November 20 2015.
He appeared before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court this morning and was sent to Crown Court in custody to appear on July 29.
