More than £700 was raised towards equipment for a sensory room at Churchill Special Free School in Haverhill when 41 people completed a sponsored walk on Sunday (27).

Walkers completed either five or 10 miles and were rewarded with bacon rolls. There was tea and coffee available, a cake stall and a raffle with a range of prizes.

The school caters for eight to 18-year-olds with speech, language and interaction needs.
