Police are warning people to make sure their cars are secured after a spate of thefts from parked cars during the week.

The warning comes after about five separate incidents were reported in the town. Police are asking people not to leave valuables in their cars unattended and to ensure the cars are locked and secured. Items taken include sat-navs and loose change. A police spokesman said the thefts were taking place all over town and weren’t limited to a specific area.

Anyone with information should call Haverhill police on 101.
