Work has been done to prevent further accidents on a notorious roundabout on the A1307.

New road markings, texturing work and signage have been added to the roundabout at Babraham in a bid to stop cars spinning off the road.

Councillor Peter Topping was asked to look into the roundabout, which had a high number of low-level incidents associated with it.

“The county council had reservations about it when it was built,” said Cllr Topping. “We bounced lasers off the surface to try to establish what was wrong with it. We’ll look at it in a few months and see if it’s helped.”
