Borough are handed £3k by Grow the Game grant

Haverhill Borough are one of six clubs in Suffolk to have benefited through the Football Foundation Grow the Game grants.

The Thurlow Nunn League First Division Knockout Cup champions were awarded £3,000 of the £15,000 handed out.

Clubs were invited to apply for £1,500 grants per new team created over two or three years, with financial support being reduced in the second or third year of the project.

Suffolk FA football development manager Nathan French said: “I am delighted the listed clubs have been successful with their funding towards developing new teams.

“The money can be used in lots of different ways, which will give the new teams the appropriate support in getting up and running.”
