Dellar completes a hat-trick at Haverhill Cricket Club presentation night
Adam Dellar received three separate awards at the Haverhill Cricket Club presentation night when it took place last Friday (16).
Dellar was named the batsman of the year for both the midweek and Saturday first teams and collected the Haverhill Echo Player of the Year Award from Echo reporter Steve Barton.
Young off spinner Harry Harding picked up two awards, being named the bowler of the season for the midweek second team and the Sunday second team.
Another off spinner, 18-year-old Callum Brunning, was also a double winner, winning the bowler of the season award for the midweek and Sunday first teams.
Two awards also went to all-rounder Josh Ruthven, 17. He was presented with the batsman of the year awards for the Saturday and Sunday second XIs.
The batsman of the year award for the Sunday first team went to Anthony Phillips. Martyn Wilkins won the bowler of the year for the Saturday second team and his son, Ben Wilkins, was named bowler of the year for the Saturday first team.
The club’s chairman Micky Rinaldi, was also a winner on the night, being named batsman of the year for the midweek second XI.
The Arthur Sumpter Award, given to the person deemed to have contributed the most to the club off the field of play, went to Phil Dingley, for his sterling work in preparing the wicket and outfield.
