Cambridge VI 1

Devonports Haverhill squash team registered a convincing win against a young and talented Cambridge side on their return to league action.

Devonports Daryl Hester, returning after a long injury lay-off, won his match in style, 15-11, 15-7, 15-9.

Nathan Ttophi was always in control of his match, but it went to five sets.

Losing the opener 15-10, Ttophi stepped up his squash play to move in front, 15-10, 15-10.

However, his opponent battled back and claimed the fourth 15-13 before Ttophi gained control again to take the decider 15-11.

Tony Archer played the Cambridge skipper at one and won in four sets to put Devonports back into second.
