PREMIER DIVISION

Mildenhall Town 1 Haverhill Rovers 1

Ty Alleyne’s first goal for Haverhill Rovers earned them a draw that, coupled with Wivenhoe Town’s defeat at Whitton United, guarantee their Premier Division status for next season.

The hosts went ahead in the eighth minute when Matt Green converted a Dan Brown cross.

Rovers levelled in the 26th minute after player-manager Michael Shinn put Alleyne through and he rounded ‘keeper Josh Pope before tucking the ball home.

Rovers are now seven points clear of third-from-bottom Wivenhoe, with just two games left for each side.
