Haverhill Rovers have appointed a new interim management team for the first XI and brought back Steve Brown as their new chairman after the departure last week of former chairman Ali Shulver.
The appointments have been announced this morning in a statement from Haverhill Rovers.
The statement said: “Steve previously held the position of chairman with the club where he demonstrated a superb track record of stabilising the club including managing the move from the old Hamlet Croft to the new facility and the committee feels the club needs someone with Steve’s experience of Haverhill Rovers, the league and the running of a football club to take it forwards.
“Joining Steve on the committee will be Michael White who has also previously worked for the football club and will also bring a wealth of experience to support the club in delivering it’s future goals.
“The club would also like to announce the appointment of a new interim first team management team of Mick Reardon (manager) and Tom Donati (coach) for the remainder of this season.
“Mick previously worked at the football club as first team coach under manager Peter Betts and more recently managed Biggleswade Utd before taking time out this season from football to concentrate on work commitments but has come forward to offer his services to his old club where Mick is well respected both as a strong man manager and strong coach who holds a UEFA B Licence.
“Tom is a highly qualified coach who holds a UEFA A Licence and has vast experience of working within a professional football background.”
Most recently Donati was the head of academy coaching for 18 months at Cambridge United but has also been a youth team coach at Barnet, acaddemy coach Watford and manager of the ladies team at Charlton Athletic. He will also support the development of Rovers’ youth coaches by offering mentoring.
The statement added: “This is without doubt one of the most highly qualified coaching teams the club has ever appointed and the committee are hopeful their experience can be shared throughout the club from top down.”
With Donati away on a course, Reardon will take charge of Rovers Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division match away to Godmanchester Rovers tonight (7.45pm), with support from director of football, Derek Richardson.
