Clacton gained revenge for their 2-0 loss in the reverse fixture the previous Tuesday to overtake Haverhill in the table.

After away goalkeeper Luke Avenall produced a good save to deny Rory Jebb one-on-one Clacton went ahead in the 19th minute; Jack Clampin’s effort from the edge of the area going in off the far post.

It was 2-0 to the away side on 62 minutes after a corner on the left. Adam Daniels ran in unmarked at the far post to force the ball into the net.

Although the hosts rallied it didn’t look like they would get back into the game and Aaron Condon’s 88th minute volley from the right corner of the area that went into the far side of the goal, and left debuting ‘keeper Callum Robinson only able to watch as it went in, was his side’s third goal as they took all three points.
