THURLOW NUNN LEAGUE

FIRST DIVISION

Woodbridge Town 1 Haverhill Borough 2

A goal in each half proved enough to earn a first victory for Borough’s new player-management team of Martin Westcott and Gareth Thomas.

Owen Longley fired Borough ahead from an acute angle on 13 minutes before Aaron Forshaw arrowed a free-kick into the bottom corner to double the lead on 70 minutes - it was his first goal of the season.

Woodbridge substitute Lewis Scott set up a tense final ten minutes when he fired home from just outside the box but Borough held on to consolidate eighth place in the table.
