Haverhill Rovers Under-14s are one of just eight teams left in the country vying to be crowned the FA People’s Cup champions - which is part of the BBC’s Get Inspired campaign.

The team qualified for this weekend’s final in Sheffield by firstly getting through a regional qualifying tournament in Ipswich in January, where they were joined by a second Rovers Under-14 side.

Both Rovers teams made it through to the semi-final stage of the small-sided tournament and ended up playing each other in the final of the qualifier to decide who would go to Sheffield. One Rovers side beat the other 1-0.

From 14,000 teams that originally signed up to the national competition, only eight remain for the final in Sheffield.

Should Rovers come out on top they will win tickets to the Emirates FA Cup Final at Wembley, where they would also be presented with the FA People’s Cup, together with all the other age category winners, on the famous pitch.
