FINAL

Haverhill 3 Harwich & Dovercourt 28

Haverhill failed in their bid to win the Suffolk Plate as an impressive Harwich side ran out comfortable winners.

The visitors were 18-0 up at the break against a Haverhill side missing a few key players due to injury and other commitments.

Kieron Ewens kicked a penalty early in the second period for what proved to be Haverhill’s only score of the match before the visitors added two more tries to complete their victory.

Haverhill travel to Cottenham on Saturday (2pm) to play Renegades for their final IPA Greene King Eastern Counties League Division Two West match of 2014.
