Substitute Jordan Read scored an injury-time winner to help Haverhill Borough move up into fifth-place in the table.

The young striker raced clear of the Downham defence to round ‘keeper Joe Clements and score his first goal since signing for Borough.

The mid-table visitors - the only team in division one without an away league win all season - had taken a 13th minute lead through Mark Smith.

Borough should have been further behind at the break, but were kept in it by the agility of ‘keeper Charlie Turner.

Five minutes into the second period Gav Taylor poked the ball home after Clements dropped a corner under pressure, paving the way for Read’s dramatic last-ditch decider.
