Ryan Weaver scored in his first match as Borough’s new skipper to help them to an impressive three points.

Borough had already gone 1-0 up thanks to Harry O’Connor’s assured 16th minute finish when Weaver curled the ball home from the edge of the box to double the lead on 30 minutes.

Two debutantes then combined for the third and final goal on 83 minutes when Jorge McCallum crossed the ball in low from the right wing and Kieran O’Neil, who has joined from Essex Senior League side Takeley, touched home from close range.

The win lifted Borough up to seventh place in the table.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) they travel to the Wardale Williams Stadium in Sudbury for their First Division Knockout Cup Semi-Final match against AFC Sudbury Reserves (7.45pm).

The winners will play Great Yarmouth in the final, the date and venue for which has yet to be announced.
