Linton still on course for a promotion challenge

Linton remain on track for a promotion push after securing a comfortable 60 run success at home against Haslingfield.

Batting first Linton appeared to be in a bit of trouble at 12-2 before the middle order of Ajay Joseph (40), Gavin Bowie (30) and Richard Wadrup (60no) consolidated the innings. Linton finishing with 188-7 off their 40 overs.

Ajay Joseph (4-47), Anil Joseph (2-12) and George Udall (2-12) were the main wicket takers, while 17 year-old Jonah Munday also impressed to get among the wickets.

n Meanwhile, Sunday’s President Day also proved a success and helped to raise £500 in the process.
