EAST WOMEN’S LEAGUE

DIVISION FOUR NW(S)

Newmarket II 1 Haverhill II 4

Haverhill extended their lead at the top of the table after defeating their nearest rivals - although their long run of clean sheets came to an end.

Haverhill went into the match having not conceded a goal since defeating the same opponents 3-2 on October 4 - a run of ten matches - and although that run was halted the victory means they are now eight points clear at the summit with eight games left to play.

It was also Haverhill’s 14th win in 14 matches this season.

The first team’s match in Division Three NW(S) at home to Cambridge Nomads II was postponed due to an unfit pitch.
