England may have lost on Saturday, but on Sunday morning Haverhill’s junior rugby teams showed their skills.
Our teams faced Stowmarket and Harwich in a triangular tournament.
The under nines had a fantastic first outing, winning their games after just three training sessions.
There were great lines of running from Bradley Peachey and Ewan Grey, big tackles by Rory McMaster, Nathan Hookway and Dylan Williams and Marcel Corey was the player of the match.
The under 11s didn’t win, but showed great determination.
Tries were scored by Ellis Agassi, Hayden Everitt, Harry Singleton and Jake Barry. Drew Lamb, Angus Duckworth, Alex Baker and Ben Warren all helped make good ground and there was solid defending from Jo Starr, Barnaby Heath, Peter Johnson, Stewart Nicoll and Oliver Morris
