Haverhill Running Club members took part en masse in the Saffron Walden 10k last weekend.

This is a particularly tough off-road race with plenty of climbs and rough underfoot.

There were some sterling performances and, for many, this was their first attempt to race at this distance.

Pride of place went to Mary-Ann Moseley, who grabbed a prize for being first in her age category of Female 40.

Two ladies who ran a top class race were Kirsty Millard and Cheryl Trundle.

The pair took part in the Robin Hood Marathon, held in Nottingham, with Millard finishing with a huge personal best in a time of 3:42:35, giving her a good position for age place on next year’s London Marathon.

Trundle came in with a time of 3:46:00.

She won her age category in the Female Veteran 60 section.
