Haverhill Running Club members have been busy taking in events around the country.
In the tough Woodbridge 10k on May 17, Mary-Ann Moseley received the trophy for the first female 40 veteran, while Martin Lawrence was the first veteran over-50 and Sian-Marie Lucas was fourth woman overall.
Also achieving new personal bests among the rest of the club were: Ian Elden, Lucas, Craig Sisson , Siobhan Dockerill and Charlotte Acheson (for full results and times of races, see results and fixtures below).
The same day nine runners from the club took part in a new race, the Bury to Clare Challenge, an off-road course of around 18 miles.
Yusuf Firat was first home in 18th place in two hours and 49 minutes, while Cheryl Trundle was the first female in 2.53 for 21st.
Lindsay Matthews was the sole Haverhill entrant in the Wheathampstead 10k with her time of 57mins 32secs giving her 321st place overall in the field of 544 runners.
Club captain and newly qualified running coach Siobhan Dockerill smashed her personal best in the Bristol 10k finishing 765th from among nearly 10,000 in a time of 43mins 01secs.
In the Hatfield Broadoak 10k on May 25 seven members achieved new personal 10k best times.
Craig Sissons and Graham Dixon continued their huge improvements, Kirsty Millard was first Haverhill lady home, with Theresa Franklin, Helen Spooner, Carol Le-Roy and Phil Jarvis the others with best times.
